Carrie White, Ph.D.

When working with couples, Dr. White takes a very active role. She interjects when partners get caught up in endless blame and finger pointing, instead she guides people to look at themselves. Dr. White encourages each individual to work towards change by helping them express what is often difficult to say. Promoting self-regulation, Dr. White helps each partner to soothe his or her own anxiety which ultimately improves the stability of the relationship. The focus is on establishing a balance between individuality and connection. By fostering a more solid-sense-of-self, Dr. White finds that not only do couples resolve their conflicts but they go on to develop a more meaningful and rewarding relationship.
