Carrie White, Ph.D.

Dr. White understands the unique challenges teens face during this pivotal period. The stress and pressure teens feel from school and their peer group is demanding enough; yet often, teens are faced with additional difficulties at home (parents in conflict, divorce, illness, loss, struggling siblings, etc). Overwhelming anxiety, anger, low self-worth, feelings of helplessness and depression can lead to isolation, disordered eating, substance abuse, reckless behavior, and problematic relationships if these emotions are not dealt with directly. Dr. White helps teens cope with emotions and develop mindfulness which puts them in better standing to deal with the issues of young adulthood so they may go on to establish loving relationships and rewarding careers.
